FAQs

  • Strong grades and test scores are the foundation, but what truly differentiates a student is a clear, consistent, and authentic trajectory over four years. Our program helps your child design a personalized academic and extracurricular plan rooted in their passions and values. The goal is to show intellectual depth, leadership, and impact—without overloading their schedule—so colleges see a compelling, cohesive story.

  • While certain forms of affirmative action have ended, elite schools still seek diversity—just expressed in different ways. We help students identify unique intersections of their passions (e.g., engineering + cultural advocacy, wellness + policy change) and build portfolios that showcase leadership, originality, and community impact. This kind of diversity remains highly valued in admissions.

  • We prepare students to compete at the highest tier they can achieve. Even if they don’t attend an Ivy League, this level of preparation often secures significant merit scholarships at other top-tier schools.

  • School counselors typically begin formal college planning in 11th grade. We start as early as 8th–10th grade, giving students time to plan coursework, prepare for tests, develop leadership, and build their story. We complement school counselors’ work with earlier, deeper, and more personalized guidance.

  • No. Colleges value authentic initiative more than scale. Leading a project that meaningfully helps 10 families can speak louder than joining a large initiative they didn’t lead. We support students in launching a variety of high-impact initiatives—whether that’s a business, nonprofit, research project, creative endeavor, or school club—and guide them in growing those projects over time. What matters most is that the work is theirs, reflects their passions, and creates real-world impact.

  • We start with a diagnostic to determine the stronger fit, then focus preparation accordingly. Early testing (often before 11th grade) allows more flexibility and reduces stress later.

  • Yes. We use incremental preparation, manageable study steps, and early exposure to reduce pressure and build confidence.

  • While we don’t operate as a done-for-you technical shop, we equip students to identify, approach, and collaborate with the right mentors—skills that impress admissions committees far more than having work done for them. Students begin with actionable steps from day one, attracting expertise through demonstrated initiative.

  • Many start shy or uncertain. We coach outreach, follow-up, and professional communication, walking alongside them until initiative becomes second nature.

  • Yes. We connect students to opportunities aligned with their goals and teach them how to secure such roles themselves.

  • This is a partnership. Parents stay informed and aligned without micromanaging. We provide tools, timelines, and guidance so you can support your child while they take ownership.
